From the fiery red emotions of anger and love to the deep purple emotions of magic and wonder, we are looking for pieces that make us feel all the colors of the rainbow. All stories, photographs and artwork are welcome! Join our google classroom (code: wyehokx) for updates and further information and to find the form for submissions. ON Saturday, Sept. 17, TEN Jupiter High future scientists ventured into Max Planck for the Career Panel.  Students toured labs to see what type of research is being done - they observed work on aging, memory storage, dementia, brain sections and modeling, and experiments involving increasing ATP production by pushing calcium across membranes.  We saw transmission and scanning electron microscopes and heard about some exciting new technologies in brain science. Students got to dissect thin slices of brain tissue, and put fruit flies to sleep so they could sort them and observe their anatomy.  After the tours, students had lunch and then attended a career panel with three scientists, one a former JHS graduate named Katie Shirley, who got her start doing Brain Bee with Mrs. Rodgers!  It was an amazing day!
